Alice is a trans woman. Since she was little, she has longed to be female, so she gravitated toward girls' clothes and was interested in make-up. Her family is Christian. Alice's parents told her boys should do what boys do and be masculine. At school, boys who were seen as "sissies" and acted gentle and sweet would get bullied and excluded. From a young age, Alice's life at church taught her that there was very clear distinction between boys and girls. There was nothing else she could do but suppress the girl who was her true self. After many years of struggle, Alice decided to transition to become a woman. Despite facing opposition and pressure from her family and friends, Alice believes that this has been the best decision of her life.
